On May 7, 2007, CME ® changed the official name of the GSCI Futures and Options on Futures to S&P GSCI TM Commodity Index Futures and Options on Futures, to reflect the acquisition by Standard & Poor’s of the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index (“GSCI”).  The official names of the indexes have been changed to S&P GSCI TM Commodity Index and S&P GSCI TM Excess Return Index.
